Wow its been a while....

Now that they have an app, it may be easier for me to blog....

So this weekend was a great weekend.

My mother in law had the girls all weekend and the boys were with their dad, so my man and me had alone time. Ugh we so needed it. We went to a marriage conference presented by VICC (our church) and had a really good time...

During the conference we as couples shared some of our couple secrets with all the other couples and we brought home a few of the many ideas...

1. More alone time with each other
2. Lock the bedroom door at a certain time so kids know this is OUR time
3. Wake up earlier so we have our wake up time to pray as a couple
4. Have family study Bible study night, (i've already chose the 'plan' from my Bible app to use)
5. Continue to text each other our i love/miss yous.

I would have liked to have started tonight but we didn't get home till after 9:45pm and that is too late to do anything on a school night.

So tomorrow it begins!!

I'm super excited!

Also Richie and I were able to renew our vows. I have been wanting to be married through the church ... have the big wedding Richie deserves and the whole nine yards...but this was just as great and for that I am very grateful to our church!

After our conference we went to lunch, then to the movies and then spent more alone time. We woke up this morning and read a devotional together.

It was a blessed weekend. One we really need. I know more great times are yet to come!!

Unrelated...I've had this song in my head...Greater things are yet to come, greater things are still to be done in this city.. yea yea... just thought I'd share that.

Hope who ever reads this is just as blessed as we were!

My prayer for you...Our Lord Heavenly Father...I am so grateful for all you have done for me and mine. You are our true God and a loving God. I pray that we are all around, and all who aren't are blessed in ways they can't imagine or explain. May they feel our love and fall devoted to your kindness and love. I lift them up to you Lord to heal what needs to be healed and fix what needs to be fixed. By your stripes we are healed, and I believe that every aspect of our lives will be healed. We're hear, we love you and we worship you and we humbly come before you and bow to you. Your name we bless. Amen.

Ringing in the New Year

Well the last thing I did with my family in 2010 was play Poker-keeno.

It was fun, I lost about 3 bucks but it was worth it!

We played at Momo's house, it was Me, my dad, mom, Loren, Andy & Alex.

Bubba, tia Norma, Mickey & Brandon.

Oh and Momo and Popo.

We had a really good time.

When the clock struck midnight we went outside and watched people illegaly pop fireworks in the city limits!!

Like I said we have fun!

New Year Resolutions

I'm not really big on resolutions, I've never said oh this is my plan for the year, then again, I never say This is the plan, lol! With kids and a husband and jobs and life, who really has the time for that?

Well this year . . . ME!!! I'll have time for plans!

The most common resolutions are:

1 Get fit/in better shape
2 Stick to a budget
3Debt reduction
4 Enjoy more quality time w family
5 Find a soul mate
6 Quit smoking
7 Find a better job
8 Learn something new
9 Volunteer & help others
last but not least
10 Get organized!

Out of these 10, I have 8 on my list!! I have already started to get into better shape so I'm going to stick to it! I've been at my biggest weight the last few months than I ever have been before!!

I'm going to stick to a budget so that my and my husband (obviously I'm not looking for my soul mate) can get out of all our debt, which would be resolution #3.

I need to find a better job, so far I have one lined up and it seems good but I'm not sure what my schedule will be so I"m nervous about that.

I want to learn how to play the guitar and I know someone who teaches it so I'm excited!

I want to be more active with Blue Sunday (a non profit that helps with foster kids) and get into Cub Scouts again.

I NEED TO BE MORE ORGANIZED!! Hands down!! I know if I am more organized with my time, house, money then my life will be that more simpler and I can spend more time with my family (another resolution).

I also want to take more pictures, blog more and start a youtube thing with my baking, we'll see about that though.

So in a nutshell:

1. Get healthier
2. Get Organized
3. Take more pictures
4. Spend more time w/ my kids (Richie too)
5. Stick to a budget
6. Get a better job
7. Get out of debt
8. Learn to play the guitar
9 Blue Sunday and Cub Scouts
10. Wash my dishes every day!
11 Blog everyday!

It seems simple enough! I can do this!!

Ker Bear

I miss my sister!

She moved to Queens New York to be with her man! I wish her the very best and happiness that makes you pee your pants!

Have you ever had a best friend that:
pissed you off,
cared for your boo boos,
broke your heart,
tattle tailed on you,
drank the dirty water mixture you made her think was chocolate milk,
got drunk with,
got in trouble with,
went to family things together,
shoved your big toe in her mouth,
gave her wedgies (pulled her panties way up her butt crack),
bit you really hard she pulled some flesh off your skin,
cut all your Barbie's hair off,
claimed all your toys,
told your parents you had a boyfriend,
scribbled all over your homework,
convinced her she was adopted,
drank the last coke and didn't' share,
ate the last cookie and didn't share,
cried on her shoulder,
let her cry in your shoulder,
wanted to shove boogers into the mouths of everyone who hurt her,
couldn't go a day with out talking to her,
never wanted to talk to her again,
loved her so much you wanted to hurt her
and loved her so much it hurt?

Me neither!

xoxox you sister!

This week thus far . . .

Well the boys will be in Austin this weekend. They are off to see their cousin get confirmed, or something like that. I'm glad that Alex's select baseball team's tournament got rescheduled. I would've hated him to miss it.

Wednesday night was our Blue & Gold Banquette for the Cub Scouts. For those of you who don't know I am the PROUD Cub Master for Pack 36!! We are sponsored by the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Harlingen, (I always misspell that I hope I got it right this time). The boys are so good!! We just moved up our largest den!! 7 boys!! I started as their Bear leader and wow, I was pulling my hair out!! I was new to the Scouting thing and having 9 (there were 9 then) 9 year olds that had just finished school and hadn't had time to run around was CrAzY!! The have really grown up so much in the last year! 5 of them received their Arrow of Light, that is the highest honor a Cub Scout can Receive. That is the only patch he can take with him into Boy Scouts! Andy completed his. I was so excited!! I am excited for the road they are about to embark on! They gave me a hand made card and a bouquet of flowers, I cried!!

Well I was puking and pooping (thank God not at the same time, although I did at the hospital, NaStY) from Sunday afternoon till Wednesday night!! Ugh it was horrible!! I'm glad I was able to finally eat food!! I was withering away!! Well not too much cuz today this old co-worker of mine asked me if I was pregnant!! And that is cuz I'm wearing some jeans I wasn't able to fit into a month ago!! So yeah I won't be wearing this blouse anymore!!

That is really all for today so far. Now lets see if I can remember which site to come to and my login and password info. I think I forgot it already!!
